An Thoi
An Thoi is often reduced to the busy port where island tours begin, but step away from the pier and it is still a working coastal town: residential streets, local markets, everyday eateries and long-standing fishing activity now sitting beside the newer tourism developments of southern Phu Quoc.

How to visit
An Thoi covers several very different places, from fishing neighbourhoods and working harbours to the cable-car station and Sunset Town. Telling a driver only “An Thoi” can easily put you in the wrong place. If you have booked a speedboat island tour, use the exact pier or port name and the meeting time in the operator's confirmation. Southern Phu Quoc does not have one shared entrance for every attraction or boat departure.
Know before you go
The new tourism districts are only one layer of An Thoi. The town still has local markets, busy streets and livelihoods tied to the sea. They sit close together but feel very different. Passing through Sunset Town does not mean you have seen An Thoi, and one speedboat pier cannot represent the whole of the south.
Before you visit
- Confirm the exact pier or port name and the required meeting time for any sea tour.
- Keep the three transport types clear: speedboats used for island tours, passenger fast ferries on mainland routes, and vehicle ferries that can carry people, motorbikes and cargo.
- If you are seeing an evening show in the south, plan the return journey around the actual finishing time.
- Do not use the Sunset Town location to infer the entrance to a harbour.
