Phu Quoc sunset
In the afternoon on the west coast of Pearl Island, from Dinh Cau, Ong Lang to Bai Truong, all open up beautiful angles to watch the sunset. Each destination has its own brilliant space and the clouds can magically change in just a few minutes; choosing a convenient viewpoint is more relaxing than trying to race through many photo angles.

Check current conditions
Enjoying the sunset doesn't have to be too far. Choose a corner of the beach near your accommodation, arrive a little early to choose your favorite seat, and then leisurely watch the sky change from yellow-orange to deep purple. If you visit a bar or beach under the management of the facility, be sure to ask about the entrance and service fee in advance. In the late afternoon, keep an eye out for low clouds on the horizon as sometimes it is still sunny overhead but clouds are covered in the distance.
Things that are easy to miss
There is no coordinates that promise the sky will glow red every afternoon. Surreal sunset moments often appear unexpectedly when sunlight and cloud layers intersect perfectly in a few short minutes. Even though it was cloudy that day, enjoying the cool sea breeze by the waves was still a complete afternoon experience.
When going out
- Choose a sunset spot that is convenient for the way back instead of trying to run through too many places.
- Check the entrance to the public beach and the areas where stops are allowed.
- Keep a safe distance, do not stand too close to the edge of slippery rocks when there are large waves.
- Bring a lightweight jacket as the sea breeze can cool down quickly after sunset.
