Travelling between Duong Dong and An Thoi
Duong Dong and An Thoi are far enough apart that repeated trips between them can consume a large part of the day. If your plans involve an island-tour departure, the cable car or evening shows in southern Phu Quoc, group those activities together rather than repeatedly returning to the centre.

How to prepare?
If you must be in An Thoi for a fixed boat departure or show, start from the required arrival time and work backwards for booking a car, driving, parking and walking. A taxi or pre-booked car is usually easier to time; a motorbike makes sense only for someone comfortable with the longer ride and local roads. If an evening show ends late, arrange the return plan beforehand.
Situations to keep in mind
On a flat map the Duong Dong-An Thoi route can look simple, but repeated back-and-forth trips take a surprising amount of time and energy. Ports, residential streets, cable-car facilities and Sunset Town also use different access roads, so use a precise destination instead of navigating to “An Thoi” in general.
Before you go
- Group southern Phu Quoc stops into the same day where the schedule allows.
- Use the exact destination and port name rather than a broad area label.
- Allow time for parking and walking before a fixed tour departure or show.
- If you will return late, have a backup transport plan.
