Khem Beach
Khem Beach is a curved bay in southern Phu Quoc with pale sand and several high-end resorts along the coast. Before going, check which access point is currently open to day visitors and which services are charged separately, because access and facilities differ by section.

How to visit
For a half-day at Khem Beach, confirm the entrance, parking and which facilities non-resort guests may use. Loungers, toilets and restaurant access can be subject to each property's own rules. If you only want to reach the shore, use a clearly permitted access route instead of following an uncertain map pin into a private internal road.
It works best as part of a South Island day
Khem Beach is close to An Thoi and can be combined with Ho Quoc, Phu Quoc Prison or other southern stops. A balanced day might begin with a historical or religious site, include a beach break at Khem and end at Sunset Town or Kiss Bridge.
The point of Khem Beach is to slow down. Avoid packing too many stops afterwards if you want time to swim, eat and sit by the sea.
Know before you go
Khem Beach is not completely closed to everyone who is not staying at a resort, but neither does public access to the shoreline automatically include free use of resort facilities. Walking on the beach and using privately managed loungers, restaurants or amenities are different things. Finding the correct access point in advance can save a great deal of wasted time.
Do not assume the whole beach operates as one public beach
There are several accommodation properties and access routes in the area. Decide which section you are using, where you can park and whether any service conditions apply.
For groups, agree on a meeting point, beach access and departure time. The long shoreline and spread-out entrances can make it easy for people to lose one another.
Before you visit
- Confirm which entrance is currently open and make sure it matches the section you intend to visit.
- Ask about service prices and which facilities day visitors may use.
- Check wind and wave conditions if swimming is the main reason for going.
- Respect private guest areas and do not use construction or internal service routes as shortcuts.
