Phu Quoc National Park
Phu Quoc National Park protects much of the natural forest in the north of the island. If you want to hike or enter forest areas, use routes that are actually open to visitors and check the rules first; a trail appearing on a digital map does not mean the public may freely enter a protected zone.

How to visit
For a safe and lawful forest visit, stay on routes opened to visitors. If you want to go deeper, confirm access with the relevant management unit or use an appropriate guide. In the dry season, pay attention to forest-fire risk; in the wet season, dirt tracks, slopes and rocks near streams can become very slippery.
Know before you go
The national park is divided into zones with different conservation purposes and levels of protection. It is not an open recreational park where every track is available for independent walking. Strictly protected areas need to remain undisturbed. The visitor routes that are genuinely open are enough to experience the forest without entering fragile or restricted habitat.
Before you visit
- Confirm that the route is publicly open and obtain any required permission before setting out.
- Do not pick plants, hunt wildlife, light fires or leave rubbish in the forest.
- Check forest-fire warnings, rain and thunderstorm forecasts, and trail conditions.
- Do not use a line on a digital map as justification for entering a restricted area.
